Rendang is a popular Malaysian dish made with meat stewed in coconut milk and spices. The meat is usually beef but sometimes chicken, mutton, duck and cockles are also used. The meat is stewed in coconut milk with spices such as ginger, chili, galangal (blue ginger), lemongrass, garlic, shallot, kaffir lime leaves and turmeric.
Preparation for making the rendang paste is always time consuming. Rendang Spice is a combination and well mix of spices to enhance the flavour and aromatic taste of rendang. Why it is name as Rendang Rembau ? This is because, only in Rembau use spices in the making of rendang. Thus, that is the specialty our Rendang Spices compared to others.

Pes Rendang Rembau is a traditional recipe from the Rembau district, in West Malaysia. Sometimes, they even call it lovingly as the Black Rendang. Coriander, Fennel, Cumin, Cinnamon, Anise, Clove And Cardamom.

1 pack (50g)

Ingredients:

1 whole chicken / 1 kg beef
50g Rendang Spices
Sauteer ingredients (cinnamon, cloves, star anise, cardamom)
200g dry chili
50g chili
1 tbs turmeric powder
10 garlic
1cm ginger
1cm galangal
4 pcs lemongrass
1 kg coconut milk
2 liter water
salt

Cooking Steps:

1) Mix beef/chicken with Rendang Spices, chili, turmeric powder and sauteer ingredients in a pan/wok.
2) Add in coconut milk and water.
3) Cook until beef/chicken tender.
