‘ KESUMA ‘ SHIBORI By Kesuma Enterprise

£50.00

Creating your own style and designing clothes to suit your body frame Whether you are walking into a fabric store for a DIY project, or shopping for clothes, choosing the right fabric is never easy.  It’s especially tricky when shopping for young teens, because they can be so particular about the way the fabric feels against their skin. Common natural clothing materials are:
  1. Fabric made of cotton, flax, wool, ramie and silk
  2. Denim
  3. Leather
  4. Down for down-filled parkas
  5. Fur
Whatever the material may be, the current trend is that everyone is into materials created through the Shibori (quite similar to Tie-Dye) technique. Shibori is the Japanese word for a variety of ways (wring, squeeze, press)  of embellishing textiles by shaping cloth and securing it before dyeing.  Cloth shaped by these methods is secured in a number of ways, such as binding and knotting. The material that works extremely well with this Shibori technique is cotton. The other fabrics are wool, silk and linen. Shibori  by Kesuma Enterprise has come up with an unique inspired design that would catch everyone’s attention. The design is unique and would suit both young and matured people. In fact, each piece of material that you purchase would be one of  its kind and no 2 pieces of material would have the same design. Get one design today and be unique.

Shibori  is a Japanese manual resist dyeing technique, which produces a number of different patterns on fabric. There are many ways to create shibori; however, most techniques have names, and these techniques have a number of varieties. The technique chosen, and the desired end result, will depend on the fabric and dyestuff used; the end result may be to create a larger pictographic or geometric design (as seen in many shibori examples found on kimono), or simply to display the shibori technique on its own. Differing techniques may be combined in some cases to achieve increasingly more elaborate results
